Jeroen was born in 1975 while his mother was reading The Lord of the Rings. He himself read the books at a vulnerable age and was never the same afterwards. Combined with an insatiable collecting habit, Jeroen embarked on adventures in the English-language Dragonlance books and now owns thousands of American comics from Marvel, DC, Image, Boom Studios and more. He has a diverse taste and not enough hours in a day to devote time to every hobby.
In 2019 he launched the online magazine Modern Myths, which covers the fantastic genre in every conceivable way. Together with twelve other enthusiasts of fantasy, science fiction and horror who are just as passionate as Jeroen, Modern Myths publishes reviews, interviews, backgrounds, reports, short stories and more. For Erasmuscon 2024, Jeroen is very busy behind-the-scenes, but will also moderate and take part in panels and discussions.
