Alexander, a distinguished Dutch archaeologist, writer, and photographer, made a significant impact in 2020 with the release of his debut book, ‘Woe to the Vanquished – Germanic, Celtic, and Roman Peoples in the Low Countries (Wee de overwonnen – Germanen, Kelten en Romeinen in de Lage landen).’ His literary prowess garnered recognition in 2021 when his work earned a nomination for the prestigious Homer Prize (Homerusprijs).
In the summer of 2023, Alexander’s photography work for the Tiel solar calendar (4.000 years ago) captivated audiences worldwide, accumulating over 70 million views. Currently, when not immersed in archaeological work, he devotes his time to crafting his upcoming book, slated for release in 2025/2026.
